Volunteering with the Urban Farming Guys to Help Disadvantaged Communities
On April 6, Anthony PHC employees worked in the Kansas City area’s most disadvantaged neighborhoods to clean up vacant lots to create community gardens and rehab buildings. Anyone can join a work day! Just meet at the UFG’s new MakerSpace coworking studio at 3704 E. 12th St., Kansas City, MO on your designated day. Wear your work clothes and plan to get dirty! Volunteering with Uplift KC to Help the Homeless
Anthony PHC is now partnering with Uplift of Kansas City to help feed and provide supplies for the homeless people in our community.
On April 9 and April 10, Anthony PHC employees will be cooking dinner and packaging up supplies for Uplift to distribute to people in need on the evening of April 10.
We are encouraging all of our customers to help as well – we will be accepting donations of white socks, rain ponchos and cans of Chunky soup with pop-up lids at our Showroom at 15203 W. 99th St., Lenexa, KS 66219, and at our April 13 Open House. Monetary donations can also be made on the Uplift website at: http://www.uplift.org/donate/
Volunteering with Youthfront Camps
Anthony PHC is proud to donate air conditioners and maintenance to Youthfront Camp West in Edgerton, KS, allowing young campers and camp counselors to sleep and learn in comfort during summer camp.
Volunteering with Happy Bottoms Diaper Bank
Anthony PHC is happy to make baby bottoms dry and comfortable through their work with the Happy Bottoms Diaper Bank. One third of area families struggle to afford diapers for their children, so diaper banks play a very important role to the well being of our area children. Click here to donate to Happy Bottoms.
